14. What are half yearly assignments and why must I submit a record of assignments every half yearly?
Half yearly assignments refer to the tour assignments that tourist guides conduct for a period of 6 months (Jan - Jun / Jul - Dec). The submission of this record every 6 months is required under the Conditions of Licence of the Tourist Guide Regulations. All licensed tourist guides are therefore required to submit their half yearly assignment records to the Board on or before 15 July (for the period January to June) and 15 January (for the period July to December). A "Nil" submission is required if no assignments are done for that period.

With effect from 1 May 2010, all tourist guides would need to access the Guides Online website and submit their half-yearly assignment records on-line. Attached please find a Step-by-Step Guide that will guide you in making your submission. The Board will not accept any written submissions henceforth.
